I’m a passionate environmentalist and lover of all things wildlife and nature. In my spare time I work in sustainable development but most of the time I’m out photographing all that nature has to offer.

I believe that by sharing the joys of nature through photography, we can slowly inspire new people to care a little bit more about the world we call home; and if we fail in our mission to protect nature, we will have immortalised the organisms that perished at the hands of humans to allow future generations to hold us accountable.

Professional Profile

Environmentalist and project manager with an MSc in Environmental Management and a background spanning mechanical engineering, sustainable management, local government, and green technology. I work at the intersection of environmental science and technology, visualising data and building platforms, mapping tools, and decision-support systems that translate conservation science into accessible resources for land managers, planners, and the public.

Currently based in Squamish, BC, where I serve on the board of Nature Squamish and contract to the region's Wildlife Connectivity Project. I build and maintain the EcoScapes website and map portal, a WordPress/Python-based web platform integrating Felt mapping with biodiversity and connectivity data for the Sea-to-Sky region. My technical work is grounded in deep environmental science knowledge and an understanding of how these tools are used in practice by non-technical stakeholders.

Board member responsible for technology strategy and data infrastructure across conservation programmes.
Lead the bird monitoring programme, migrating records to eBird and building a custom web portal for data visualization.
Built and maintain the EcoScapes map portal, a Python/Django application integrating Felt mapping with biodiversity data.
Developed a personal birding data analysis app for the Apple App Store.

Seasonal coordinator for wildlife conflict prevention and community education across the Sea-to-Sky region.
Liaison with Conservation Officers Service to improve response times and community relationships.
Provide community education to raise awareness of conflict mitigation and common causes.

Led delivery of EV charging infrastructure and solar projects for council assets.
Managed a team overseeing utility contracts worth over £10m per year and delivered fuel poverty support.
