I worry that as AI crawlers scrape the web and funnel content into chatbots, the motivation to maintain sites like this will slowly fade away. I've built measures into this site to block those crawlers, because the work I put in here was never meant to train a model. I don't rely on ad revenue, and I don't even serve ads, but many websites do. Without real human visitors, those sites don't get paid, and when they don't get paid, they're forced to find other ways to make money, which puts strain authentic writing.
